A rare Art Deco sterling silver ribbed petrol wick lighter.  This wonderful pocket size lighter would have been the finest lighter available to buy in the 1930's.  It has everything you come to expect from Cartier.  Beautiful design, superb quality and all in a very easy to use and maintain.  It is a classic petrol lighter with wick and flint wheel.  The flints can be easily sourced today, making this both a beautiful object, but one with purpose today.

The lighter is in perfect working condition only  needing petrol for use.   The piece  has French control hallmarks for sterling silver, and is marked on base "Cartier Paris" and and filler and flint screws.  Made in France, circa 1930's.
